You guys were right. The heads have a D80E stamp code on them. So I have a 74 block and a pair of 78 heads. They also have a 7M21 stamped on the top. I assume that is the manufactor date. I put a couple of pics in my gallery of them and the rockers. Now just waiting on my new rockers and a pushrod checker.

7M21 is December 21 1977. Making them 1978 Model year heads. You could pick up some compression and performance by swapping to E7TE heads. The D8OE's have 70 cc chambers, the E7's have 64's. 6 cc will net you about a half point in the comp ratio.
