The water pipe fitting for the heater box on the block has rusted of cleanly with the top of the block, I need ideas on repairing it.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-11-03 AT 08:32 PM (EST)]Hunt around in your tool box for nails, small screwdrivers, pointed punches, anything that you can get to drive inbetween the block casting and the thin tube of the fitting. Hopefully you will be able to collapse the fitting into the hole, and pull it out. Then go to the parts store and get a new one to drive in with a block of wood. Smear a little rtv on the od before you install it.
