Re: 2003 F250 6.0. At the end of my 100,000 mi. warranty it was decided to fix an ongoing oil leak. After the blue dye test It was determined that the rear main seal needed to be replaced. Originally thought to be a leaking bed plate gasket. During further inspection they thought they should also replace the turbo since this was my last chance to do this under warranty. While this was being replaced an exaust manifold was broken off which could not be repaired on the truck. The head was removed and taken to machine shop to have the stud removed. ( 4 days waisted ). While this was being done there was a dent put in the LF fender. Not sure what happened though it was more than Dent Pro could handle and it needs to go to the body shop. The dealer has agreed to take care of this, but what?, another rental car. After eight days I received my truck back. The next day I found myself back on the hook, truck died in the middle of the road and back to the dealership. I was told that the wiring harness below the wiper washer had come unraveled and needed to be taped up.($225.00) The truck runs again but now there is a whine at first throttle and this is the jest of my post. It sounds like a loose pulley belt but am told it could be a heat shield loose or who knows? Can anyone offer ideas as to what this might be and where I might look to repair it? Sorry for the long windednesss but believe me this is the condensed version. Thanks, Craig W.

I have no idea.

Unfortunately, the sooner you get it back to the dealer, the better your chance they will claim responsibility for something that could be the result of their work.

good luck.

I've got an 03 so I'm payin' attention. I do agree with highland, get it back to the dealer quick and have them look at it.
