Kris,
I don't remember what the pinouts were on the relay. I think that the two at the bottom are the coil pins but if you could scan the diagram on the package or maybe it's on the relay itself, I can help from there.

don't have access to a scanner i tried looking for a diagram on radio shack's site but no luck there... i somewhat get what your diagram is but still a little shakey (don't want to replace another burnt up pcm) i was just tryin to figure out what order your schematic is in (it looks like its shown laying on its side)

haha i'm not Kris either, i'm mini-me as he calls me! haha apparently i stole kris' name (sorry kris)

Yep, didn't look at the username close enough.

Maybe you could try and replicate the drawing on the relay including the pin numbers with the Windows Paint program and post that. Then I can insert the pin numbers on the writeup picture.

You are correct as far as only using two of the contacts.

I see that RS no longer carries the switch that I used but it was a lighted, SPST switch. The schematic is a little deceiving for that. You can use a DPDT and only use one side.

The switch that I used can be found at Walmart and most auto parts stores.

haha i know i went yesterday to get everything.... the project box: discontinued (they had the last one in existence) the relay i had to go 30 miles outta my way to get that, the switch: the correct part number is 275-731 (that took probably 10 mins to figure out; might want to change it on your site) and the resistors and led i got the last pack of those they had in stock. needless to say i got discouraged just by getting the parts but you seem reliable and i trust you. thanks again for an awesome locker

I have located a schematic for the relay on the web so I will change the pic on the writeup to show the pin numbers.

That switch is similar but not the one I used but it should work fine.

The picture has been updated but you may have to hit your refresh button on your browser to see it since many browsers keep pictures in their buffer for quite a while.

I am going to see if I can find similar parts on mouser.com since Radio Shack is getting out of the parts biz and turning into a cheap Chinese radio store.
