couldnt stand the thought of yellow on my truck so painted them with a black and greyish marble look paint..i should have got my finger prints off the top of the shock before i took the pic..but ill take better pics after i get the Bilstein stickers back on it..i will be painting the frame when my front springs get here...man i hate winter's..the ride was well worth the cash..
thanks guy's....not sure if I like the color..any thing is better then Yellow though..it does look a little better when there clean..I got antisieze (SP?) finger prints all over it..didn't see it till I down loaded the pics..
Ron -They look pretty good to me - Beats the yellow. I got the yellow Monroe's on the front that are almost brand new (b4 I bot truck) but they do a good job. Still got the stockers on the back.
Yeah, I still scratch my head when I look at those yella suckers up front. I am going to beat on them a few times just to make sure they do not fail, and then probably paint em.
I guess my stock shocks weren't that bad as I have not noticed as huge a diff as I thought I would. At least not like some have posted but they do ride better.
I just put some on my truck a few weeks ago to replace 3 year old Rancho 9000's. I did notice a slight ride improvement, but nothing that I'd call remarkable.
As for the color, the yellow really doesn't bother me. Maybe it's the yellow on a black truck (I like that color combo anyway), but I have no desire to change the color. Maybe if they were nickle plated or anodized looking, that would be cool, but I doubt I'll take them off just to change the color.
thanks guy's..i have them on front and rear..i did notice when hitting a frost heaves she dont dive into it then bounce right back out lifting the wheels off the ground..my stockers had 180K on them..i think i was just riding on all springs..
