long tube header installation
ive just got a few quick questions. i have the hooker 6907 long tubes to install on my truck and im running a true dual 2.5" exhaust with thrush glasspacks all the way out angled out on the corners of the rear bumper. i was actually thinking about installing high flow cats on it when putting the headers on. my ques is will it hurt my performance depending on where i place the cats within the system. because i was going to bolt my cats right to the collectors of the headers then connect the rest of my exhaust. will having the cats right on the collectors cause to much backpressure? should i have them placed farther back in the system?

It's no problem at all. Most aftermarket cats flow more than enough for a complete engine so they will present no appreciable restriction in your application. Having them closer to the motor will actually improve thier performance as well as they will heat up faster.
I'll add that you will find there is no room for a cat on the driver side if your truck is a 4x4... unless the whole exhaust is hung below the frame.
