Well, here's the deal. I have everything backed up on an external drive. What I really want, is for them to tell us that it's totallly screwed, since it's eight years old, and then get a new computer! My wife doesn't want a new one, and I'd like to get us a laptop, so I can get rid of the monstrous computer desk in the basement, to make way for some video game machines!!

Just in case the geeks can't destroy it enough I can recommend some minor modifications that can get the job done..
