Tranny Modulator

My transmission shifts really weird. When I am going slow (under 15mph) the truck will not shift into second gear. Then it won't shift out of 2nd until you hit around 35. is this normal? I changed the vacuum modulator originally had a green stripe but I bought the black striped one with not much improvement. Does anyone have the process for adjusting the modulator?

Have you checked to make sure the vacuum line is in good shape? No leaks on breaks in the lines.

have you check the tranny fluid?
is an auto right?
C6,a4ode,a4od,aod, what is it if its an auto?

Your modulator should have come with an instruction sheet, which tells you which way to turn the little screw up in the vacuum nipple to change the shift points.

Tranny fluid and filter was changed as well as the vacuum line which is brand new. No instruction sheet with the modulator

Well, take a small screwdriver and stick it up in the vacuum nipple and see if it has an adjustment screw. Note where the screw is and turn it one turn and see what happens. If you go the wrong way turn it the other way.
