So a little Truck Talk
You can check my Gallery for updated pics, but I finished the rearend setup on the '36, I have some tweaking to do here and there, but I'm thinking I'll start mocking up the frontend stuff on the IFS, so I can place the engine and get and idea of the stance so I can set up a few things...as I mentioned in the '47-early forum, criticism is welcomed

For the love that is all real...
I started mocking up the Heidts frontend today, and realized I now need a spring compresser to put the front coilovers together (no mention of this in the instructions)...so I hit a major standstill, I was going to just loosely assemble everything and add some weight to the front end to get a rough idea of ride heigth, now I have to go make a comperesser...since I'm to darned cheap to buy one...also, I've other issues with this "kit", I mean why have beveled washers on just the outside of the bushishings where the nuts and bolts contact the rubber...why not add another 8 beveled washers to go where the rubber contacts the towers?
So now I need to see about splitting some stock and making some beveled/concave washers...probably wouldn't matter to the majority of guys, but I'm **** about some stupid stuff....plus rig up a compresser so I can put the shocks together.
Slow-lay, but Sure-lay, I'm gonna get it done...my way.
PS...just more truck talk

Well, the bearing seperator idea was a big flop, too much angle on them with the coils to do any good...so, being the cheap *******o (I'm Sicilian...I think that's a real word ) I am, I modified a set of VW strut compressers I had to get the coilshocks together.
So I've decided I'll leave the caliper and brackets off for now as well as the sway bar and rack and just mount the spindles and rotors so I can put some wheels on it and some weight to see what's up...everything has to come off for paint anyways, so no use putting too much together now.
I shuold be able to update my gallery later tonight with smoe pics of the partially complete frontend...it is kinda cool seeing it come together
