I think some look taller because some, like mine have a "snow plow package" and that comes with the taller front end. it's like a ford "leveing kit" if you will.

camper package

if you get a camper package with a 5.4l it will sit level because the
front springs are heavier and i guess the engine is lihgter

What about the F150 body style that they made an F250 out of? Was that considered a light duty?

The F-350s have bigger blocks in the rear end than the F-250. Thats why they look taller.

The snow plow package uses heavier front springs.

They used to have the F250 in a Light Duty and Heavy Duty package, but now all F250s and F350s are Super Duties.

350's only sit higher in the rear. in the case of my '03, My front end is still higher than an f350 if he doesn't have the plow springs. My truck sits level front to rear.

250 and 350 are the same truck sept for the door sticker and rear blocks. The plow package includes X springs in front which raised the front 1.5 inches. The 350 sits 2" higher in the rear. This is 99-04. The f250 med duty was like 1997-99 I think.

Do the regular cab models sit higher than the super cabs and crew cabs? I was parked next to a crew cab the other day and mine (regular cab) seemed slightly higher.

Even with the same axle and springs a regular cab will sit higher than the longer wheel base crew cab. Imagine an angle from rear bumper to front bumper. As you move the axle closer to the front it will in effect raise the height of the rear.
