Anyone know of sylish (read as not needing 4x4 brutishness) bull bars for expeditions? I say one on a 4x2 pathfinder and it was pretty nice looking. I like the way it matches the body curves.

Waag products typically follow the style of a vehicle. That might suit your tastes
If you want something more serious, here's the one on my Tundra.
That one is a Ranch Hand and they do make them for the '97-98 Expeditions and then '99-'02 I spose. I am not sure if they make one for the '03-'06 or '07+.
That's exactly what i was looking for WAAG makes one for the 03-06 years, fits the front end like a beautiful glove Part #12863 for the part that can ship by UPS, 15862 for the pre-assembled part. 12863 Added to my wishlist

Hey, glad I could help. I think with most of their apps you can keep your tow hooks too.

Haha yeah man. It's freakin sturdy as can be. Had my dad not sold my' 98 Expedition on Vday, I would have put a full bumper replacement on that (if I were still driving it, too)
It's definitely one of the toughest grile guards you can buy. 12 gauge steel, fully welded, etc., etc. It set me back $600 installed and after tax. Well, well worth it.
They look awesome on the older F150s, not AS much so on the new ones, but still look great.
