Fuel lines
Hi all, My 77 has dual fuel tanks and I'm going to replace those under the the cab where the switch and fuel filter are, one of these lines is very short and has a 90 degree bend in it, is this a formed hose? I've neven seen fuel line bend like this.

I also have a '77 with dual tanks. I just replaced my lines yesterday. I used 3/8" fuel line from NAPA w/ new clamps and it works out fine. The ninety degree bend is now more of a loop but seems to work fine.

I've never seen a formed hose, and when I replace them, I use the expensive fuel lines on rigs I don't want to touch again for another 10+ years. The stuff I like is the Goodyear brand Instagrip. I installed a piece of it about 8 years ago when I did my lowboy. 3/8 i.d., 9/16 o.d, very beefy stuff. Resistant to just about anything, and bursting stregnth of 300 psi IRC. It is a little bit stiffer than when i installed it, but it sat 2" away from a header as well, and it has NO cracks at all, even at extreme bends. Try that with .99 cents a foot parts house fuel line.
