fuel pump wont stop
can anyone help me? i cant for the life of me figure out why my fuel pump is always running. it has already killed my battery once before and my friend and i were working ont it. we thought it was my fuel pump relay, so we replaced it but the problem continued. then we pulled out the relay and my car kept running and neither of us could figure out what the heck is going on, can anyone help me figure this out?

The power wire to the pump is evidently shorted to a 12v source. Try pushing the inertia switch button, or disconnect the wire to it, and see if the pump stops. If it does, the short is between the switch and the relay. If breaking the connection at the inertia switch doesn't stop the pump, the short would be in the wiring from the switch to the pump. jd
