Transmission Leak Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, hows everyone doing?

I need major HELP!

My 01 f250 V10 truck has a a transmission leak. the leak is on the metal line going in to the radiator.

it looks like where the metal line connects to the radiator is leaking. it is a bad leak.

i am ok when it comes to fixing cars, but im no mechanic by any means!

what do you all think is the problem, and who would i fix it?
Replace the line?

dose this happen a lot?

how much would you think(ballpark) it would cost me to fix if i took it to a shop?

I have been adding fluid for the past day. about a qt every 2-3 days.

PLEASE HELP!!!! im off to work, i cant search now. THANKS GUYS for any help you can give me!!!!!!!

well, i think, its the line into the radiator. from what i see there is a metal line going in to a rubber hose with a clamp. the hose is coming off the line, I will try to push the line in the rubber tube, hope this is it!

ANY thoughts on this is greatly appreciated!!!!

The rubber hose might be cracked. Check it. If it's OK, just put the hose back on and tighten the clamp.

the dip stick showes just a little bit at the very tip.
you guys think 1-2 qts should do it?

Well, I got the metal pipe further in the rubber hose, and placed the clamp on in the right place. so far so good. no leaking.

I dont like how that line is. its in a real bad location. during off or even on road driving it is way to easy for something to hit or snag those lines, knock one out, drain ur trans while driving, and really screwing your trans up.

quick question- since it leaked, i put one bottle of trans STOP LEAK(half qt), one qt of mobile ATF mercon+mercon V, and 1 qt of walmart supertech atf(made for dexron lll and mercon brands)

is it ok to run this for a while? im planning a trans flush in 2 monthes. can i wait or should i do it now. i am low on cash. I do no towing.

thoughts?

Again,
Thanks redford for your input

I thought this was going to be a 400+ shop bill, but turned out to be 2 minutes of laying on the pavement!!!!

I would flush it and put in fresh fluid as soon as you can, so you avoid the $400+ shop bill.
