Looking at purchasing a set of the Michelin XMLs in a 325-85-16 size, (about 38-39") for the Crew Cab. These tires with the wheels will weigh in around 150lbs each. Just wondering if anyone has these wheels and what observations you've made concerning this weightor their performance offroad. Thanks
they look sweet, dont have alot of tread depth, great on road characteristics for a mud/offroad tire, wear very slow, offroad- they are ok.....def. not a bogger.....
We have a used tire dealer in town here that gets loads, different sizes etc. Problem is they only come in sporadically whenever they're sold off the local bases. Should be another load going out any time now. Prices range from 120-180 each depending on how much wear there is. I'm also looking at the Hummer tires, 36" bias. I may go that way depending.

180 is way to much.....michelins are extremely cheap, i got my 53 michilens for 100 a tire......
Yeah, but you're forgetting that it takes a lot more $$ in mods to fit those. Moral of the story: the money you save on tires is MORE than eaten up by modifications. Using truck economics, however, that may be money well spent
Bouts, I have the goodyears and love them. In my opinion, they are an excellent price vs performance tire. Seem to wear well, too.
The 325-85-16s translate to 38" and will fit the truck as is. But the store has none in stock, so it'll probably be the Goodyears. Not that I mind, to be honest. Solves the weight issue!!
