Remote Entry 1/2 Step

I have a new 08 F-250. I have the Remote Entry System. The manual states the unlock has a 2 step function. You press the unlock once and the driver's door unlocks. Press it a 2nd time and the passenger door unlocks. That's how the truck is currently working

The manual also states that there is a 1-step mode: Press the unlock button once and both doors unlock.

To switch between 2 and 1 step mode the manual states : "Unlocking can be switched between two step and one step door unlocking by pressing and holding both the <Lock Button> and <Unlock Button> buttons simultaneously on the remote entry transmitter for approximately 4 seconds. The hazard lamps will flash twice to indicate that the vehicle has switched to one step unlocking."

I can't seem to make this work. Any hints?
