Upper/lower ball joints?
Allegedly I need upper/lower ball joints on my 2003 4x4 7.3 with <60K miles.
I don't buy it and will take a look myself when I get back to town, but in the meantime, any idea what this should cost? Stealership is telling me >$1200. Sounds like horse**** to me.

That sound about normal for both sides. Local alignment shop wanted 1100 for my pickup. What ever you do make sure you get ball joints that are greasable and then of course grease them! If you are into doing it yourself there are plenty of writeups on how in the superduty forum. I chickened out and hired a local Ford mechanic to do it in his spare time.
