I tried google but I can't find out if there is a law in IN about how dark you can tint your windows.. anybody know? I just got my first (and hopefully my last) seat belt ticket.. or one other though a buddy of mine had, was to install lap belts? what truck would be a good donor for that? I prolly ought to wear the darn things, but they drive me NUTS!
Probably be easiest just to call a garage that does inspections. As far as putting in a set of lap belts might want to check on that too....alright for the 73 being it was stock that way. But when redoing a 79 in HS it wouldn't pass insp due to only lap belts, being that 79's had the shoulder from the factory..... It was seen as changing manufacturers safety devices..........
from experience i can tell you that you dont want 5 or 10 percent. that is, if it will ever be driven at night, or even on a rainy day. it looks cool, but yo dont want it for practical purpose.
I have 5% on my back window from P/O (no regulations for back window on trucks in MA)... It's not that easy to drive at night backing up. Back-up lights on back-Rack and I just put a set under the bumper. 4x55W halogen and still can't see anything.
there isn't any garages the do inspections here in IN.. you don't have to have anything inspected at all.. at least not on a pick-up..
good point about the lap belt though..
35% on passenger and driver front windows. Tint cannot go below the litttle lettering on front windshield. As far as the rear goes, isnt it allready 15% from the factory?
