oil quantity
I am ordering some AMSOIL for my truck. How many qts does a 06' with a 5.4 take. Is it 5 or 6?

changed mine yesterday - 7 & that filter was a bear to get off. I had to take off the air intake tube from above & use a large pair of round locking vice grips to get it off. It was the first oil change @ 3k miles (08 f150 Fx4 5.4l) the skid plate has a nice hole in it so oil won't accumulate on it's underbelly.

Use a silver Sharpie to write it on the oil filler cap, if you're like me and forget every time.

How often do you change the Amisol? I would hope it's more than every 3k miles...

I don't keep the owners manual under the hood. It's easier to write it on the cap, and doesn't get oily fingerprints on the pages.
