I think it's very accurate. You'll see it go up and down a degree or two while you are driving around. On a longer trip it could change a lot. I took a drive up into the hills where I could be sure the temps would change to test it. I don't know if you'll see it move while you are sitting still.

The compass works all the time and has nothing to do with the VSS. It's accurate but I wish it had more than just 8 compass points. But then they are all the same as far as I've seen.

Thank you for all your help. Im sure I'll be in touch when mine arrives here, placed the order today, so shouldnt be too long....I cant wait, my fiance tells me I'm crazy, but I love to know the temp when I am going hunting at the crack of dawn....

Finally got the console installed this weekend...looks great...as far as the VSS hookup, i cant find where to put it?? Need some help please....

I also put an ol bird's console in the truck that I had before the one I have now. I have some pics in my gallery. He provides great instructions for putting it in.
