I am interested in getting Speed Bleeders for my Late '99 F350 Dually, and cannot find the specs on what size I need for the front and rear bleeders, I've got an Email into SpeedBleeders.com to find out, but I may be able to get them locally if I had a spec. Thanks!!
I can't tell you the specs for them...O'reilly's has always been able to look them up for me. However, my experience with the Speed Bleeders has been nothting but positive. I've had them on 4 different motorcycles, my truck, and my Jeep
(including the bleeder on the clutch) without a single failure on any of them. As long as you get a hose that fits tightly over the nipple on the bleeder screw, it won't come off. I use one of the bleeder screw attachments from the Mighty Vac setup when I bleed mine. Then just make sure to run a loop of the hose up a few inches and over something to keep a level of fluid above the screw and no air will get back in. As for not knowing when the fluid runs clear, how difficult is it to get out of the truck and walk a few feet to see what's in the container? Just use a clear glass or plastic jar to drain it into and it will be quite apparent when the fluid changes color. Air bubbles...not usually an issue unless you've completely replaced a brake line. In that case, I would have someone assist to watch for air bubbles. For simply flushing out the old fluid and getting some fresh fluid in there, the Speedbleeders have worked great for me in many different applications. I tend to do a full bleed on my brakes at least once, but usually twice per year.
I am sure they stock them for your late 99. I got them on my early 99 dually and they work great.. I did have alittle problem with one rear wheel. Had to really screw the fitting in tight on installation. (it was not sealing, but ok now)
