locked wheels
its a 5 speed trans and i want your advice tranny or t case it wont roll at all I riped the back bumper off pulling it up two the shop and it still outside

wayyy to many variables here. Did it just lock up all the sudden? was it sitting for a long time? did it go "bang" and stop?

I THINK he's saying the wheels are locked up and he wants to know if he should look at the trans or transfer case.
Should've pulled the driveshafts instead of ripping the bumper off. Do the front wheels spin?

then I would start by pulling the driveshaft and seeing whether its in the rear end, or in the t case/tranny

Was he actually moving and it just locked up or was he at a stop and when he went to drive off it was locked up?
My guess is a bad rear, maybe broke a ring and pinion. Had it happend to a buddy of mine on his Bronco. Scared the crap outta him when it went bang bang clunk, schreech! Had to pick the thing up and tow it from the rear to move it.

ohhhhhh, in that case refer to my other post and add 20 more inches of lift on some r2's, that will solve all...
