rims

Will a set of 16 inch rims off a 1997 F-150 regular cab 4x4 fit on a 2001 F-150 crew cab 4x4? Are they the same bolt pattern?

hmmm, im pretty sure they are the same bolt pattern, BUT they might have different lug sizes. The 2001+ wheels are still 16X7, with 5X135mm bolt pattern, but the lug size is different, which may effect the fitting (size of the holes). I may be wrong though. I'll try to locate a chart.

oh yeah, also, are they aftermarket (lugcentric) wheels, or factory Ford (hubcentric) wheels?

Yeah, just test fit one and make sure the lug holes will fit over the larger studs.
97 12mm 01 14mm.
