Wouldn't hurt anything. I don't find myself kicking the riser if that is what you are thinking. It just seems to wear on the edge.

I think it's a good idea. I'll be using Duplicolor bedliner because I'm building amp and speaker cabs for friends and myself. So I have extra. The Duplicolor is very durable. This little amp has been thru hell and back. No problems whatsoever.
