i had a friend who did the same with the cheap auto parts blocks that were for "lowering or lifting" and he installed em up front and the block shattered under the weight of a K% blazer just imagin a diesel 250 thats gotta be a nono
Doesnt the trac bar keep the axle from sliding side to side? Also, if a front axle traction bar was added to the mix, in the axle would not be able to wrap, correct. If both of those directions were taken care of, and larger diameter ubolts were installed, how could the blocks come out?
blocks don't spit out unless they break or the u-bolts stretch or aren't tight. aluminum blocks break down and then spit out.
if you're going to use blocks make sure they're cast steel like factory blocks.
i've heard of a guy installing lift springs using grade 5 bolts at the shackles. needless to say the bolts broke but the truck didn't crash and everyone was fine. does this mean no one should be using lift springs?
whatever you do, make sure the materials are beefy and everything is tight.
