hey, my friend was telling me one of his brilliant ideas again just alittle while ago but hes not a member of ford-trucks so he wanted me to ask for him, he has a 92 f-150 half ton w/ 4wd and he was looking to lift it but was wondering if he could stack 2 3 inch body lifts on top of eachother so hed have a 6 inch body lift well actually 5 inch but i know you'd have to have massive long bolts but could it work? what would be the process youd have to do? thanks, andy.

Your friend is also often distracted by shiney objects, huh?

Well, SURE he COULD. However, just throwing a stick of dynamite under the truck would be a kinder fate.

Okay, all fun aside this is a BAD IDEA. Unsafe, and probably illegal to have on the road in your state. Just tell your friend to do it right and fab up a suspension lift. Did I say fab, I meant BUY a suspension lift. Seriously. Stacking body lifts should never be done, unless its a show queen thats trailered everywhere. Even then I think its hella rainbow. Hope that helped.

because body lifts are really 1/2 inch smaller, 3 inches are really 2 1/2 and whats texas have to do with anything?
Since when is this? I have a 2" body lift and the pucks measure 2". I have installed quite a few other body lifts as well....and they all measured true.
As for the texas comment....I dont want one of those long bolts shearing off and send the body of the truck sailing down the freeway at me or my family.
i dont know one of my friends told me that he knows alot about lift kits maybe that was just the kit he got, lol yea i figured it wouldnt work just an idea thanks for your help

apparently not! i would go up to him and smack him around a lil for even suggesting it! course i would smack him for suggesting a body lift to begin with, lol.
no kit will EVER come with 2 body lifts to stack on top of each other, its very unsafe!
Washington state law prohibits body lifts over 3". Most laws I think are pretty stupid but there's some, such as this one, which I'm thankful for. People do some SCARY stuff sometimes.
How does two 3" anythings stacked on top of each other equal 5"???
Please tell him to stay the hell out of Texas.
AMEN!
Jerry-rigging things is what we often refer to as "unsafe"
Body lifts are from hell, caused the civil war, founded communism, and are the prime example of cheap redneck inventions around more expensive suspension lifts.
