E4OD troubles
was pulling a empty car tailer home last night and my tranny started to slip in the top of third gear and all the way through od. It felt just like a standard tranny vehicle with a sliping clutch. my questin is how do I know weather it is the tranny sliping of the torque converter?

no od light flashing, cel is not on, fluid is at proper level and still looks clean.
It was slipping gin both od and 3rd the tranny was a ford reman before I bought the truck probably has about 30-40 thousand miles on it.

I was talking to a GOOD FORD mechanic yesterday about my prob and he said that if the TC is slipping, you won't hear it.
Since I can hear mine howling when it slips he said it will be the trany. Hope this helps
