Cold air intake???

Hey Fellas~
Have any of you guys made a cold air intake system for your slick? I have a 360 and my aircleaner has a snout, but it just sucks up hot air all day! I want to make a cold air intake to go onto the end of the snout and have it routed up to the front of the engine compartment! Just wondering if any of you guys have done that, and if so, what type of materials you used and how you got around the radiator fan.

P.S. I do not have a radiator fan shroud...

Killer, The old truck has been running for over 40 years breathing hot air as you call it, what do you expect to happen by plumbing in air from a different source?
