Y-Block Question

Hey all I'm wondering if other than OEM are there any other suitable replacements for a 292 Radiator. Original radiator is shot and catalog ones are too much for my taste. Thanks.

Welcome BigJake, I would look around and see what is easiest to fit, how bad is your old one? The guy I used to use down southern Ca, could work miracles on them, maybe check with a radiator shop, odds are they might be able to fix it, or tell ya what might work, possibly have something.

Jake, Go to your favorite parts house and inquire about a Modine. You should be able to get one for between $100-150.00.

You can also take it to a radiator shop and they take the tanks off and rod out the tubes in the core to get the crud out. Then they solder it back together and they usually work as good as new for a fraction of the cost. If the core is shot they can put in a new one, maybe not the cheapest solution, but it will bolt back in the proper location.
