Don't hold me to this but I would think that you would need a double pole double throw switch and run the power wire for each probe through the switch and have a common power wire to the center pole on the switch.

Someone else will jump in and either agree or dis-agree with me.

I really don't know. My gut is telling me that a switch may throw off the readings. I do know somebody makes a dual needle pyro just not sure who.

My gut is telling me your gut is right. You can't alter the thermocouple leads, so both sets would have to be mounted to the gauge. Switched or not there would always be a mv signal from both probes.

Question

I kinda agree with what both of you are saying but it also brings up the question as to why, when installing a cool down timer that timer is tied into the Pos & Neg lines from the prob to the EGT gauge. Wouldn't those taps also effect the readings from the probe to the EGT gauge???

Why? That seems like a waste of money to me. The most important ready is pre-turbo.
