C6 Tranny problems
'88 full-size, 5.8 with a c6. ok here's the story.... 2 years ago my c6 was rebuilt and it ran great. 6 months later i pulled the motor and rebuilt it. a year and 3 months pass and i just now finally got it running last night. its all ready to roll, new cam broke in and everything, and i go to drive it.... the tranny slips like crazy and will not shift into 3rd either. keep in mind that it sat for over a year... anyone have any ideas or has anything like this happened to them? your input is GREATLY appreciated!!!

You might try adding some Lucas tranny stuff or similar. Another option would be to drain and refill the tranny with new fluid. Be sure to check that you don't have a vacuum leak to the modulator also or on the engine. Good luck.

I've been hanging around on FTE for about 10-12 years and it was available when I first signed on. Also, I'm from Nebraska and grew up there and graduate from NU(UNL) way back in the dark ages. Actually at the end of the Devaney era if that will give you a hint.
