I've got a 05' black Tusscany FTX F150 it looks real cool but was kinda slow so we roushed it, now I am getting gready and am wanting more power. Is there anthing that I can do to my truck that is reasonably priced to make my tires smoke, granted they are 12'' wide but still I am expecting more from a 400 some odd hp truck. Any kind of responce is thanked. Thanks
I assume you installed the intercooled vehicle of the Roushcharger?
- Add a 2lb Lightning pulley. Its compatible with the intercooled Roushcharger and adds about 1-1.5 lbs of boost. Don't go any higher than this with a stock engine (the bottom end and piston rings can't take more boost)
- Troyer Performance custom tuning. He's a site sponsor (please let him know you saw him here) and has tuned more Roush F150s than anyone. You'll get 40+ HP from one of his tunes.
alright thanks but we put our charger on before this new charger that added more power came out (I just got this truck from my dad) so can i put that cooler on? And when I get all this together can that guy you were talking about chip it for the extra boost. Thanks again
oh, ok I have some more questions then. Just wondering but why cant I add more boost, and can I still get a tune from some one to open up some more power? Thanks
The more boost you add the hotter the air intake charge. Without an intercooler to cool the charge its limited on how much boost can be added without "boom!" Troyer Performance can provide a tune that will add some power. Let them know you saw them here. Water/meth injection is one way you can safely add boost without an intercooler, for a lot less than an intercooler, but its not going to be as effective (or hassle free).
ohhhhhhhh ok that kills my plan to do anything to the blower, I guess that I am going to have to just get headers & such with a tune. I suppose that we should have waited to get the one with the intercooler 6 months later.
