here are the most recent photos. mind you nothing is final, everything is just tacked and will stay that way until i get done fitting everything together. i already know i am going to need to drop the pass side fender and raise the driver side to level out the hood.
Really hacked out a chunk of that grille. Nice work.
After you do a few adjustments you should be able to start on the hydro system pretty soon.
Did you cut the hood yet, and how are you going to latch it down(or open it for that matter...hinges, hood pins, original hood latch)..... just curious?
no i have not hacked up the hood yet. i will prolly use the original hinges but i have been using hood pins for a while. just have to fab up a spot to put them. i will continue my steering build as soon as i can. i think the trickiest part will be mounting the ram. i am not 100% how I will do it just yet considering how little room i have on the driver side!
anyone has any advice on trimming the hood to fit, please pipe up!
Heres a thought on the hood. Cut it directly in half and let it lap over one another to get the correct coverage and angle. Maybe that will make sense but it sounds right in my head.
cutts, take the measurement from what you took out of the grill. make it the base of a triangle at the front of the hood. then run the sides of the triangle along the hood to a point at the back. cut the triangle out and it should allow you to weld the hood back with the apropriate amount from the front and still leave the back the same distance. i hope this makes sense.
