on the truck listed below. My question is, is there any way to pull those dang chrome pieces off the door/tailgate handles and gas tank cleanly? I guess I could live with them, but would really like to take them off. Of course this is if this deal goes through, I done walked out of that dealership on the same deal twice already and Monday is their last chance.
These are usually held on with 3m tape. When you pull them off, there will be tape residule. Just spray it with wd40. This stuff works great on removing the tape residule. Then clean it up with soap and water.
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will take a look at it if everything works out and take it from there. I actually like the fender trim just not the door handle and gas tank trim.
hardest part will be figuring out how to get them off...haha...and being without them during shipping. If you can wait until spring, I can park my truck for a few days and ship you mine first so there's no down time for you. Get the truck and we'll talk good luck with the deal.

They look like they are a chrome layover....thus he wouldnt be without handles. Its like the junk you get on ebay.
If he didn't peel them and traded me for mine one of us has to be without them while they ship...?
Right-o. I misunderstood. I thought you wanted just the layover. Taking the 5 handles off would be a fair amount of work/time. Anyway...I misunderstood.
I think it looks good with the chrome. But they just stick on with 3m double sided tape. They should just pill right off. Some home soapy water will get the adhesive off. Good luck with the deal, thats a sweet looking truck.
