uh i believe it was posted on here how to do it-on the window swap from manual to electric-well that looked like the basic way to get the vent window out to get the track moved-so you can do it?? how did I do???
Yea you've got two 5/16 hex screws in the edge of the door itself as well as a bolt beneath the door panel....take them all loos pull the vent window toward the front of the truck pop that edge of the door window out of the track and slide it out...gonna have to work the regulator as well so it comes out of the lift track......Luck
well i got it done, i think the window was out of an early 80s 250 i dont know what year, the window was about 1" to wide, so i took out the weather stripping behind the window track between the sail pannel, and put the window track back in and it fit. i just pulled the track out to fit the window in. it want easy hooking the bottom of the window up to the arm to make it go up and down, but after sanding down the little square piece that fits into the window i got it to fit.
??????? what??????--87 to 94??? and you used what ??? and sanded the glass???? WTF?
calm down and read my post again.
i said the window seemed to be 1" to big i dont think it was 87-94. i took out a peice of rubber that is behind the window seal in the middle piece of the window. that gave me some clearance to fit the larger window.
where the arm that moves the window up and down connects to the window it is a plastic square peice, that didnt fit in the new window, and i had to sand it to get it to fit into the new ledge at the bottom of the window.
