well i don't know what it would be worth but if it were me i would try to find a really cheap truck just like mine to buy and switch the vin tag and have the truck for parts or take it to the scrap yuard and get most of my money back if not more.
well just start low if your not getting the truck then he is probally going to junk it if he is willing to sell you the title. i would offer him $25 that sounds reasonable for a piece of paper and 2'' of tin.
Well, I've never bought or sold one. But if I was in the position to buy a 73 or sell a 75 set of papers/tags, I would amagine about $100.00. But of course I've never done that....
I agree with the lowest price for a title as possible; however if your really interested in getting a title for your currnet vehicle remade; here in Tennesee its seems impossible; so we send off the data from your current vin tag to Broadway Titleing company out of Brimingham Alabama. They research the vin and insure its clear and send u a Bill of Sale; all vehicles prior to 74 didn't have title in the sate of Ala. Then we transfer it to our local DMV file. Broadway is a highly reconginze company in hemmings motors news. I have a buddy who recently did two dodge brothers 30's model trucks with no problem. It does cost around $300.00.
A as far as I can tell its a legal transaction as well.
$100 is usually what i would get if i was to sell, give ,loan, lose one, what year model and drive do you need one for? its kinda nice to have the model , year and drive close to what you have
