which would cool better?
aluminum cross flow radiator 18'' high aftermarket made for bronco, or a stock f600 30'' high radiator?
i have an f600 core support and either radiator will fit. 460 engine, possibly replaced with disel in the future.
I was looking at aluminum radiators for my project, but decided to stick with the brass. For one, the brass will last a lot longer, and two, I don't want to see an aluminum radiator through my grille.
The other point is that in your case, a 460 is generally a cold blooded beastie, and usually doesn't need the cooling of an aluminum radiator. Mine is a 400, which is cold blooded too, but my truck also came stock with the big ol' 4 core swamp cooler in it, so cooling was never an issue. Besides, aluminum radiators require upkeep...if you get one, you need to get one of those zinc annodes, to reduce the corrosion issue. I guess I figured it wasn't worth the money.
