heater blower motor
I think you can get it out without doing that.

yea i have replaced heater cores but never blower motors. it looked like i could take off the vent flip door and get to it but now it looks like i will have to remove the whole plennium

Yes you do. I had to do this a few months ago. It's really not that hard. There are nuts in the engine compartment that you will need to remove. Remove the passenger side vent, cables, and so on. It is a good chance to clean out the whole assembly. It will drop below the dash although it takes some wrangling to get it free. Also a good time to lube the cables and the 2 trap doors in the assembly. For me it was helpful to remove the cardboard glove box insert. That way you can get to the screws that hold the passenger side vent on. When removing the heater hoses remember that they are attached to some very soft metal of the heater core. It's very easy to bend or break it. If your heat is hot, don't worry about the core. It has foam around it from the factory that is hard to replace.
