i'm thinking about getting DD2000 - there is a sale on until the end of the month... but i've been reading that the only options for intakes that would apply to anything i'd ever do would be either "dual-plane" or "single-plane", and there's nothing that would apply to my EFI 302. also, for headers you just get "big" or "small"... not exactly helpful for picking which ones to buy! and without more detail in the intake and exhaust, it seems like the cam selection would be a little off too...

is DD2000 any good for choosing exact parts, or is it just good for general "what if..." type questions?

is there a way to "fudge" the date, to get an idea about something like whether 1-3/4" or 1-7/8" headers would be better, or a way to show what the cam specs should be for an edelbrock streetmaster vs. a torker2 ?

not that i know of. the users man for desktop dyno states that 1 3/4 or larger exhausts is considered large headers. smaller than 1 3/4 is small headers.

here are some of the dyno programs

virtual engine - http://www.virtualengine2000.com/

engine shop 3.5 - http://www.auto-ware.com/software/es/eswin.htm

these appear to be the best of the other dyno software.

I don't know how well they work, but the price is right.

There isn't exactly much here, I've got more to post. Stay tuned.

Dragstrip Plus (620k)
- A really cool program that you put in all the details of your car and engine, everything from tire size to cam lobe seperation, and it will give you tons of statistics, suggestions and other info. Gross & net HP, 1/4 mile times, etc. New version 4.06s

Dragstrip Analyzer (2.5mb)
- Similar to DS+ but with more features

Engine Analyzer (2.7mb)
- Engine analyzing program, similar to desktop dyno, more features

Mustang Theme for Win'95 (650k)
- A neet Mustang-oriented theme for Win95 (requires Plus! I think also). Has background, pointeres, sounds, etc. Made by Ed Tinker.
