cat/ muffler delete

what are the laws in connecticut for cat deletes and muffler deletes. I'm thinking about a straight 4 in. exhaust and I want to make sure it's legal. My buddy's dad doesn't run one on his '01 F-350 7.3L but he has farm plates, does this make it legal.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

not legal at all anywhere. md however diesels dont go through emissions, so so long as some ********* state trooper doesnt pull you over your good. most cops wont know the difference anyway. they most of the time wouldnt take the time to look under the truck and figure it out.
