I put new Rotors and pads on the rear of my 2000 F250 4X4. Still got a bad shake when braking. You can't feel it in the steering wheel so I ruled out the front brakes. I haven't had the truck long and didn't look at the front pads to check for wear. When braking at slow speeds you can feel a lundging like a rotor out of round but you can't feel it in the steering wheel. Could it be front brakes, ABS or something else?
Thanks
It still could be your fronts even though the steering wheel isn't shaking.
The Super Duty's steering linkage isn't known for it's precise action and tight feel. It could be just pad deposits on the rotors from hot rotors. I would yank the wheels and at least take a look at them and go from there.
Sometimes just taking some silicone free sandpaper and cleaning up the rotors and pads with it to remove deposits will improve the smoothness a great deal.
Either way, you'll find the cause, or eliminate a possible suspect by checking it out. Take a look at the link Smokin' posted for you too as the caliper pins are notorious to cause havoc with the fronts on these trucks too. Guzzle has a great web page for brakes and a ton of other useful tips here:
