1979 351M LOST SPARK
i lost spark! started fine the other day no problems, shut it off now it wont run. tried a couple different coils, my modualator got hot, back of it started melting,tried different ones, what could cause this? it seems to want to start when i turn the key back to the off position, im stumped. any help is appreciated. If your module got hot enough to melt it there may have been a short. Check the red wire AT THE MODULE to see if you have power when the ignition is ON. You may have burned up a wire with the short. You can also check this by jumpering the red and white wires at the module to Bat+. If the engine starts when you crank it you will have to remove the jumper to shut it down. Repair the wire when you find the bad circuit.
