Don't bother with a 4" downpipe. It'll just be a pain in your ***. All I hear about are people complaining about having to bang on their firewall or downpipe to get the 4" to fit.
Not entirely true, you just need to use the right tool for the job, a Visa card.....
well i ordered the 5" cat back with 6" stainless tip mbrp 431.00 stock down pipe couldn't make up my mind with so many different opinions here if i need to later i can get the bigger down pipe , but i think i will leave my cat for now just so i can give suggestions based on experience. and i ordered the superchip it sounded like the best thing for me as a beginner, cuz you know when i get a taste of that power ima be tearin it up.
Save your money and use it for some other mod! Cut out the stock muffler, if you want a little more sound put the kitty to sleep. I have my cat and lost the stock muffler to a 3.5" piece of pipe. My turbo spools up quite a bit faster than with the stock system. I am pretty sure that if you dyno a 6.0 with a 5" system vs. a stock straight pipe system the numbers would be almost identical! If you want a huge tip, then install a 5" tail pipe and then put on a 7" tip.........My straight pipe setup cost a whopping $60 dollars!
Oh and you ought to cancel your order on that Superchips asap and get the best tuner out there for the 6.0, an SCT......
Im 99% pretty sure that with a tuner, the 5" exhaust straight pipe vs a 3.5" straight pipe stock system there would be a difference in power, and safer with the lower egt's
