New Ford owner here (after several weeks searching). I just got this 1993 F-150 XLT Flare Side 4x4.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its a 5.0 V8 engine.
163,000 miles on it.

Not super experienced with trucks but I had a few Ford certified mechanics look at it and nobody could find any problems besides a bit of fog in the corners of the windshield. Also very little rust since in came from Florida and interior is in good condition. When I got it i didn't realize Flare Side was "rare".

I got it for $2950. Did I get a deal? This is my first truck, and Im using this as my work truck on the farm. Would love to hear opinions on this truck from some enthusiasts. Thanks.

 

Hi all, I was a Flareside owner for 3 weeks to the day of purchase before a kid decided he didn't feel like paying attention to the road and rear ended me doing 50mph while I was sitting at a red light.

Truck was purchased 10/21/15 and was rear ended 11/11/15. I'm still waiting on insurance to write me a check. I bought it off the original owner who was a 61 year old woman, who gave me the original window sticker.

It was in great shape, the paint needed to be cleaned up, and some other trim pieces needed refreshing. I never even had time to wash it a single time. The only think I had time to do, was to replace the pealing grille.

Larry that really sucks. Mine is a Regular cab too. Right now I'm trying to find the bars that support the running boards for mine. Anyone have a source?

 

here is my 94 ford flareside special edition xl, with the regency conversion kit on it.
it has the 5.0, auto trans, low body parts except the front air dam.
no rear step bummer, it is the xl body type.
the body needs a paint job, small rust marks on the hood.
the 5.0 has 215,000 miles on her..
i'm the 3rd owner..
i traded my 01 mazda truck for this awesome flareside..
the owner wanted a truck with better mpg.
i didn't care because i don't drive much these days anyway's..

this flareside will be a keeper for sure..

I have a 90 plus side I would consider selling motor needs overhauled. it's a little rough but everything's there, running boards every piece of trim the whole nine yards got the 5.0 4 wheel drive automatic power everything hundred and 80 some miles 180 000 miles

 

Can anyone tell me if the tail lights are somehow different than a standard bed? LMC truck lists them as a different part number for $15 more each. This seems like a rip-off to me. Why would Ford make it any different?

I drive everyday and I'm looking for a few parts.It's a 94' Flareside 5.8l Xlt and IT RUNS LIKE A SCALED DOG! True blue paint, am interested in purchasing a parts truck. I figured I'd check here since I've looked all over.

 

I'm wanting to put a tonneau cover on my 95 single cab flareside. All the places I've found online say my bed should measure 6' from bulkhead to tailgate. Mine measures 82", which is just under 7'. Does anyone know where I can get one. Would prefer the Velcro kind over a snap one.

I NEED to find a 1995 F-150 Flareside XLT Ext cab 4x4. I would prefer automatic with the 5.8. I dont care about body or interior condition, I will restore if I need to. I just need to find one. Please, someone hook me up with someone who has one. I would settle with a 5.0, i may even settle with a standard cab, if i cant find what i really want. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
