small passenger side window problems

Howdy folks, on my 94 f-150, the small little window on the door just in front of the big window has some issues. My buddy went to go and pull on the door to close it with the latch that closes that small window, and it broke it off. Now, the thing is, the latch broke up flush with that little flat steel piece on the very rear of the small window. I thought maybe i could possibly J+B weld it or something, but im not sure that will hold it. It wouldn't be a huge deal, but the thing is that it leaks when you are driving down the road, and it creates a terrible whistling noise. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem before, and how they fixed it. Thanks in advance

I'd have to take a closer look but I think the latch slides on over a stud and is held in place with a pin. If this is correct you should be able to remove the stud from the latch and have it welded back on the window frame.
