Hey guys,
Craiglist has a posting for a 460 motor. needs rebuilt. Anyone interested or have a use? In Kearney Mo. If need is serious enough, I might be able to pick up this weekend and deliver to a G2G. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/582149198.html
Really? I might have to pick that up and see what happens. I really have no use for it, but hey a big block is a big block right? Maybe I can give it to someone in need or trade it for a 400(not modifed mind you)
There were no Ford 400 "modifieds or M's". The "m" designation was only used for the 351m to distiguish it from the 351 Cleveland and 351 Windsor. The 335 series engine forum beats this to death. The 351m and the 400 are the same block with 400 having a longer stroke. I have a 400 in my 78 Bronco and think it is pretty decent for use in that vehicle. A similar 460 would have more power and is easier to get more out of though. I don't know of any other Ford 400 engine.

Sorry, I was trying to refer to 400 sbc without making it obvious. Usualy people keep brand specific content in forums, I wasn't sure how it would be taken here. But yes you caught me in my ford misnomenclature. Thank you for catching that, I would have noticed it later and though of how much of a ******* I was being.
