my brake pedal is soft, i have replaced the master cylinder, power booster, both calipers, and both wheel cylinders. The problem is that replacing all of these things still makes the peal soft, could i need to bleed the brakes yet again, i guess i could have bled them wrong.Whenever i bleed the passengers side caliper if there is a lot of air in the line a lot of air will come out, there does not appear to be any leaks to the system. should i just try to blee it agian?
I don't know, but I want to see what they say, cause I'm in the same boat you are. I went and bought a master cylinder from Ford and threw the O'Reilly's master cylinder away, worked a lot better, but still soft. You might want to try adjusting the back brakes out, I think that will help some
Some master cylinders can allow, during a failure, a fluid bypass. All of the components seem to be good and there will be no external leaks - yet.... The pedal will always be soft. Just a thought
Try pumping the brakes 3 times quickly does the pedal get hard....... could be a bad lip seal in the M/C.....
Do remember that our brake systems being vacuum operated will be good for at most 4 pumps then the vacuum bleeds off and your stuck with manual brakes...... at least until the vacuum pump recovers the vacuum in the system.
The RABs light could be low fluid or stuck float in the reservior. Also check the M/C electrical connector is connected securely.
Please put up a truck info Signature..... gets boring looking up people profiles ......thanks

my pedal bleeds down if i hold it, but my brakes always work ok,and my rabs
light is on all the time. if i pump my pedal it gets hard, with low brake power.
If the pedal is sinking to the floor and there is no fluid leaking anywhere, most likely the fluid is bypassing the piston inside the master cylinder.
I had a run of bad mastercylinders a while back.
I found that if you fill the master cylinder with fluid and pump it all out in a container before you install it, you may flush out metal filings from the machining process that were not removed before assembly.
If they are left in the master cylinder, they cut the seals up in a very short time.
Quality control is not whay it used to be on replacement parts.
I have taken parts out of the box that were worse than the ones they were to replace.
I now pay a few dollars more and get parts with a life time warranty if it is available.
That way I am only out my time to swap the parts.
