400 Cam Choices
.030 over Badger 9.1cr pistons
heads shaved .020 for a 9.5 cr
1 3/4" headers into 2.5" exaust
Performer intake
Edelbrock 600cfm carb
The truck has a manual transmission and 4.56 gears with 35" tires.
I am trying to decide on a cam. I want something with lots of torque but that won't run out too fast. The cam that I am looking at is the Edelbrock with 4.84"/5.10" lift 204/214 duration at .050 lift. The reason I like that one is the dual pattern. It has more exaust lift at a lower duration than the Comp cams 268H. Any ideas about this? And will I need to use after market valve springs with that cam? What kind of torque will I be looking at with that set up?
