i'm looking to put disc brakes in the front end of my 1954 Ford F350 the most cost effective way. now i have a parts truck(1980 ford f350) that i could mate the front section of frame, to the 1954 frame say like at the fire wall. or should i just buy the disc conversion kit form LMC that's around 600 dollars. now the only other problem i have with this is i put in a 1 ton rear end with 16 inch dual wheels and i need the the front wheels and tires to match the rears and its smaller and has a different bolt pattern than the stock 1954 wheel witch is i believe 5 studs 4.5 iches on center. if anyone has a suggestion or comment i will take anything thanks.
I think that 1980 F350 is going to be a TTB front end. What are the plans for the truck? The best way to go if you're going to put larger offroad tires on it would be a dana60 or dana44 with 8 lug outers (below 38" tires for the d44).
More info is needed on what you're going to use the truck for to give a solid answer
