hard time starting 351w
I have been putting this off for quite a while. My rebuilt 351w is hard to start. It cranks fine. When it gets started it runs great. It is like the timing is off. And it has plenty of fire. The timing is set, no vac leaks. It is in a 70 f100. It has a pertronix ignition. My question and concern is could the dwell in the distributor be off, causing this? It never back fires. please share your info.

What kind of plug wires are you using? what are the plugs and what gap? I would go
over all the grounds starting from the battery and working your way removing, cleaning and dielectric the cables before reinstalling.
